I took a ton of photos over the weekend that I should really post.My deviantart account is going to explode with artsy-fartsy photos! You wanna talk about the definition of annoying artistic moment? I took a picture of peeling paint.Yes...that's how artsy minded I am.
I saw this delightfully old shop with tons of peeling paint. I was fasinated by how it looked, why it was allowed to be in such a condition, and how symbolic the paint was...and then I stopped and thought "Fuck...I'm an artist. Damn you liberal arts college!"
So I gave in and took a few pictures of this building. As I'm standing there with a camera pushed up against my face, a gentleman walks passed and chortles "Only 2 kinds of people take pictures of old buildings: Insurance people and Health Inspectors"
Without looking up from my camera, I smiled and replied "Neither. Just an annoying, excentric artist"He laughed and told me to have a good day.
I took some really neat photos thru the bus window one morning on the way to work. I took some artsy photos of Chris when we were riding the ferry to Edmonds. I'm a huge sucker for the rule of thirds.
Random thought of the day: I still have no idea of what to get Chris for his birthday...this thursday. 0_o I'm really behind.
Second, more on topic and on theme thought of the day: The Book YOU SUCK by Christopher Moore NEEDS to be a movie...it is so wonderfully funny...I mean, if not a movie, make it into a play! I felt the same way about The STUPIDEST ANGEL. Totally meant for stage and/or screen. Of course...they are wonderful books and it wouldn't be robbing the world anything if they stayed on paper.

Batman and Robin WAS awful.
But... worse than Napoleon Dynamite? Aren't most movies worse than Napoleon Dynamite?
...Oh WAIT!
You didn't LOVE Napoleon Dynamite?!
That's a shocking revelation. It's definitely in my top 25 movies of all time, perhaps maybe in the top ten (though no such list exists officially, so it's really hard to say).
How can you not love Napoleon Dynamite?
But perhaps more importantly, isn't this the most polarizing movie of the early century? Do you know anybody who just sorta likes it? No, it's pretty much "OMG WTF this movie pwnzors" or "GOD I hated that pathetic piece of [poop], is there even a plot? AND WHY DOES HE HAVE TO TALK LIKE THAT?"
I guess I know which group you are in.
Oh believe me when I say I almost feel guilty not liking that movie. I didn't laugh, I wasn't impressed...I was bored. I understand why people liked it! I really do! I thought the dance he does was pretty col and I loved the 80's fashion thing happening...but it simple didn't live up to the hype for me.
I'M SORRY! FORGIVE ME!
hehehehe!
