Last night was an emotional roller coaster.
I haven't one of those in a long time.
Chris and I went grocery shopping and his wallet fell out of the car on the way out of the parking lot. After searching for an hour or so, someone else found the wallet and called the house. Chris retireved his wallet form this kind soul to find that the contents of the wallet were 100% untouched and all there. After getting home at about 8:30pm and finally eating (I stayed home and made dinner while he went back and forth from the grocery store), I uploaded the Evening Magazine story about my cousin.
Keeping in mind that she's fine and recovering great and living a nice, healthy, normal life...I watched this story and just CRIED. I Cried so hard that I shook. It was touching and scary and somethings said and shown that I had no idea about.
After Chris held me and we comforted each other (His wallet scare and my cousin's story), we logged into our favorite fantasy world for a short time. As we were getting ready to come back to reality, CHris gets a call on his cell phone. No call at 10:30pm can be a good call...Derrek called to inform us that fellow actor Harry Helm had passed on earlier in the day. He was well into his 80s and suffering with health problems.
We ended the Roller Coaster evening on a dip downer. Needless to say, I woke up a bit emotionally hung over this morning...and never did get my coffee.
So far the day is proving productive, positive, and full of company paid chinese bistro food. My god, I'm so full that I need a nap.
Today is CHRISTOPHER WARD MCDOWELL'S 29th BIRTHDAY!
We will be celebrating with the rest of his family this weekend.
I am in the process of taking costume stock for the upcoming convention. *sigh* I am disappointed that I will not be able to fit into one of the costumes. Although it's kinda funny to kick back and blame it on breast size being too big...but I know that there could have been work done on my "cake & cookie pouch*
Oh well, I have standby outfits and a few new ones up my sleeve. I have 2 outfits that can be a dozen different characters if I just change wigs. *LOL* Yay unifoms! I've got half of Organization 13 in my top drawer alone! I can be half the female cast of Bleach!
I've got wigs to work on...AXEL is going to be the projects of projects. I keep saying that, but not starting! The crimson-spikey-hair-of-doom is going to be...well..."intersting". JESSIKER (tm) wig will be a snap because putting a wig into loose ponytails is nice and easy. The only problem being I have no idea if the costume will be made in time for the end of March or not. Life has gotten pretty busy with other things...I would hate to leave the costume in the more-than-capable hands of Ritsuko and Plude, but I know that they are just as busy (if not, MORE) than I am.
One of the most amusing costume situations is the fact that I've accquired my 3rd Naruto character costume and I don't even watch the damn series. Kakashi was my first, Kiba was second and by far the easiest (and carried a Stitch doll around to be my fighting companion) and now I have Lindze's Temari outift. Again, big boobs...but there's a nice seam allowence to play with.
Anyone got a sewing machine? -_-*
